SPECIAL NOTE: We are offering this game FOR FREE, but we sincerely hope that you will choose to pay/donate so that the artists and creators at Temple of the Eye Productions get something for all their hard work. With your support, we will be able to add more to Vhain and do more with its world and mechanics. Thank you and we hope you enjoy your adventures on Nahm Jumena, and bring aid to your long-suffering homeworld!
Vhain: Claim to Power is an action-adventure roleplaying game for 3-5 players. It contains an original setting, starting situation, and easy game mechanics. Engage in frenzied combat, explore strange sci-fi concepts, and take part in political plots that decide the fate of a galaxy.
Players choose PERSONAS that define their character, but, unlike most other roleplaying games, at the start of each session the GM will randomly assign them a PATH to follow, which will shape player goals throughout the session.
Each player takes on the role of one of the VHAIN SISTERS. They are of the ezeraell race, descended from a proud warrior caste on the world of ANHAR, which is being invaded by an overwhelming force of THE HOST. Aboard their fast-attack ship Kimura, they race to the strange world of Nahm Jumena, the CAPITAL OF THE GALACTIC ASCENDANCY, where days last only minutes, supernatural phenomena abounds, and projectile weapons have been banned. The Vhains must beseech the Senate to send military assistance to their homeworld. However, both the Senate and the galactic government it represents are in decay. Vile megacorporations and criminal gangs take advantage of that disarray, and the Vhain Sisters’ political mission is threatened.
The “EXECUTE AN ASSAULT” and “EXECUTE A PLOT” mechanics allow players to organize large battles and broad political schemes that unfold behind the scenes, if they so choose, while maneuvering through the underworld or completing missions for political allies.
What will the Host do to prevent the Vhain Sisters from bringing aid to Anhar? What sort of mayhem will the Host unleash on their homeworld? What mysteries will the sisters explore on the strange world of Nahm Jumena? What malevolent plots will the corrupt Senators employ to destroy the Vhain Sisters?
- A broad sandbox setting ready for action and political intrigue.
- A simple d6 system that makes character creation fast, but expands into wild possibilities.
- Planet and city generators to expand your galaxy as you see fit.
- Ready-to-go NPCs to populate the world, and story hooks to get things moving.
- Partially pre-generated characters with lore connected to their Persona.
TOUCHSTONES: Dune (for sci-fi politics), Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace (for warriors sent to beseech a galactic senate for help), The Hunt for Red October (for strategic battles involving politics), Rome TV series (for the ruthless politics that govern whole civilizations), Thrawn (Star Wars character, for the complex tactics of starship battles that shape politics), House of Cards TV series (for diabolical schemes by politicians and corporations)

This looks awesome, though I can never get a group together to play it. Looking forward to Needful Iron!
Thank you, and we're looking at a March 31st launch, just finalizing the latest draft and the cover art. I hope you enjoy!
This is a game I've been developing with some friends of mine for quite some time. If you are a fan of Blades in the Dark or Dune: Adventures in the Imperium, you will no doubt be familiar with some elements of this style of fiction-first gameplay. We are looking to develop the game further and hope that you will see our passion for this project, and support us going forward.
